US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power on CBS's "Face the Nation" with Bob Schieffer: …there really are positive signs in all three countries. In Liberia, thanks to the presence of the CDC and the US military, we see the rate of safe burial, which is a key part of the solution here, skyrocketing to close to 90% in the capital Monrovia. In Sierra Leone, the rate of safe burial within 24 hours is close to 100%. And CDC thinks that around half to 70% of the infections may well come from unsafe burial. So you could imagine what a difference that could start to make here you know just in a matter of days or weeks. And the rate of improvement in safe burial came over a four or five day period just because of the injection of command and control, frankly, by the United States and by the British and the Sierra Leonean context. Democratic National Committee chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos: You know, I'm very proud of this president, George, because he's taken us from the worst economic crisis that we've faced since the Great Depression through 55 straight months of job growth in the private sector. That is the longest sustained period of job growth in American history. Just the other day on Thursday, we showed the second straight quarter of significant economic growth, 3.5 percent GDP growth. We have created more jobs in manufacturing than at any time since the 1990s. And we're continuing to make progress. We have to make sure that we continue to make even more progress. But Republican obstructionism has really been a tremendous waste. Mitt Romney on "FOX News Sunday" with Chris Wallace: This is really the last chance for America to pass judgment on the Obama administration and on its policies. And the president himself said he's not on the ballot, but his policies are. That includes hesitancy and weakness abroad, which has led to a certain degree to the rise of ISIS. It also includes the violation of the most fundamental promise of ObamaCare to let people keep their doctor and their insurance if they want to keep it. It's a policy also of basic amnesty for those people who come to the country illegally...The Republican Party is saying, look, we're going to take a different direction. We're going to break the blockade in Washington by having a Republican Senate. We'll have an energy policy, which means we're going to have the Keystone pipeline. We're going to secure the border. We're going to jump-start the economy and we're actually going to help get people out of poverty and their kids will have better schools. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) on NBC's "Meet the Press" with Chuck Todd: The gridlock in Washington has largely been from the Democrats, who haven't allowed any legislation to come forward in the Senate. So, I think if we win, you will see legislation passed and you will see legislation sent to the desk of the president. Sen. Paul on CNN's "State of the Union" with Candy Crowley: Well, I won't deny that it would help me, if I do decide to run for president, to have traveled to 32 states and to be part of helping the Republican team on board. But I also do it because, whether I run or not -- and I haven't decided -- but whether I run or not, I do want the Republican Party to be bigger and more successful, because I think our philosophy will help the country more. I think we have tried the big government way. We have tried the big tax way. We have tried all these regulations, but we're suffering now because companies are actually fleeing America. It's actually better to do business in Canada in many ways than America. It's better to do business in Europe than America. We have to change that. And the Democrats have said oh, no, we don't care. We're just going to call American companies unpatriotic. That, to me, is a disaster for us, and people should reject that wholesale.
