GSA Solicits Contractor Bids for White House Bowling Alley, Posting Later Canceled

Last night’s “NBC Nightly News” reported that the¬†Harry S. Truman Bowling Alley in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building used by White House staff and their guests was set to undergo a renovation according to a General Services Administration posting to contractors. The posting has since been canceled and a White House official told¬†TIME the renovation was no longer going to take place.

In May, POLITICO published a gallery showcasing the alley’s signs of wear and sometimes disrepair.
