Fox News Walks Back Confirmation of 'Active Shooter' at Navy Yard
Someone messed up big time...
By now, you may have heard that the Washington Navy Yard has been given the “all clear” amid the scare of a possible “active shooter” in Southeast D.C. this morning, but not before some suspect reporting by Fox News.
At 8:24 a.m., FNC’s chief Washington correspondent James Rosen reported to Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy that the National Military Command Center had confirmed the presence of an active shooter in a “sensitive but unclassified bulletin” — their chyron reading “Shots Confirmed: Gunfire Reported Inside Building.”
