Former WH Staffer Gets Nod as MSNBC VP of Communications

Rachel-MSNBCRachel Racusen was named the new VP of communications for MSNBC this morning.

Beginning December 8, Rachel will replace Lauren Skowronski, who was promoted to VP of corporate communications at NBCUniversal in July, and serve as MSNBC’s primary spokesperson. She will also handle communications and media strategy while partnering with editorial and business leads at the network.

Rachel previously served as associate communications director at The White House. MSNBC President Phil Griffin, who she will be reporting to directly, said: “I’m thrilled to add Rachel to our senior team.
