Former assistant secretary for public affairs at the Treasury Department Jenni LeCompte has joined The Glover Park Group as managing director, supporting its strategic communications and financial services clients.
Prior to joining Treasury – where she oversaw media relations, speechwriting and business and public liaison teams – LeCompte served as deputy CEO for public affairs for the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC), where she created and delivered the 2008 Democratic National Convention media and public messaging at local and regional events, the Convention and online.
“Jenni brings rarely matched experience to GPG,” said Chip Smith, Glover Park Group CEO. “She has worked at the highest levels in the Executive Branch, Capitol Hill, political campaigns, party politics and corporate communications. She is an outstanding addition to a formidable team and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to GPG.”
Prior to her work with the DNCC, LeCompte was director of communications for the Recording Industry Association of America, regional communications director for the Kerry-Edwards for President campaign, deputy communications director for the Democratic National Convention in Boston, and in the communications offices of Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY.) and the Clinton White House.
