Former NSA Contractor Edward Snowden Sits Down with NBC's Brian Williams
Last night during his first television interview with American media, former NSA contractor Edward Snowden sat down with NBC’s Brian Williams for a 10pm special and made his case for a plea bargain, as well as discussed being stranded in Russia after the US government revoked his passport.
Answering whether he considers himself a patriot, Snowden said that he does.
“Being a patriot doesn’t mean prioritizing service to government above all else. Being a patriot means knowing when to protect your country, knowing when to protect your Constitution, knowing when to protect your countrymen from the — the violations of an — and encroachments of adversaries.
