Police stopped Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace this morning for talking on his cell phone during an interview on the “Allman in the Morning” show, which airs daily from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.
At approximately the 3-minute mark just after 6 a.m., the newsman stops the interview:
WALLACE: Jamie, I’m going to have a problem. I’m talking to you on a cell phone and a policeman is here. I probably shouldn’t have been talking on a cell phone. So I’m about to get arrested. Goodbye. [hang up]
Allman explained that Wallace had been pulled over. He also called the D.C. cell phone ban “ridiculous,” saying D.C. likes to take your guns away so why not your cell phone? “I hope he flees then winds up on a cell phone tower saying he won’t be taken alive,” Allman said, joking that maybe Wallace just robbed a bank or held up a 7Eleven, which is of course hilarious.
Could be worse. He could have been driving, talking on his cell phone and eating his wife, Lorraine‘s, soup when the cops approached.
