Fmr. Sen. Bill Frist Becomes a Columnist

TheWeek.com is expanding its roster of columnists for The Bullpen, the site’s opinions section, with Washington “influencers.”

Just yesterday morning, they debuted new columnist Bill Frist’s first piece.  The former U.S. Senate Maj. Leader will be writing regularly for the site. Here’s Frist’s first shot at it. It’s on child poverty. Frist’s hire comes on the heels of Bullpen columnist Dana Liebelson’s. Liebelson is a fellow for the Project On Government Oversight (POGO), and an alum of a number of advocacy organizations in the District, including the International Center for Journalists, Rethink Media, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, and Change.org.
