DC Mag Editor Resigns for Aspen Institute Post

DC Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Karen Sommer Shalett (who has what may be the hardest name to spell in journalism outside of BuzzFeed‘s Andrew Kasduhufdjygvkuyoinzinski) has left the magazine to be Editor-at-Large at the Aspen Institute. She will continue her relationship with DC magazine as a contributor, consulting until an Editor-in-Chief is hired.

In other big changes at the magazine…Katie Wilmeth, formerly of Destination DC and a lifelong Washingtonian, just started as DC magazine’s Senior Editor, “for which we couldn’t be happier” notes Shalett.
