DC Modern Luxury has hired Karen Sommer Shalett as editor-in-chief to replace Ann McCarthy who is stepping down from the position on December 22.
Until now, Karen Sommer Shalett wrote the shopper column for the Washington Post and is known to Washingtonians for her savvy fashion sense and smart advice on the latest trends. Previously, Sommer Shalett worked in New Orleans for the Times-Picayune. While in her position there, she launched and edited WISH, the paper’s monthly shopping magazine.
