Daughter of Playboy Founder, Christie Hefner Presents First Amendment Awards
Last night at the Newseum, the Hugh M. Hefner Foundation announced the recipients of its 2014 First Amendment Awards honoring “individuals who have made significant contributions in the vital effort to protect and enhance First Amendment rights for all Americans.”
Christie Hefner, daughter of Playboy legend Hugh Hefner, established the awards named after the magazine founder in 1979 in conjunction with the magazine’s 25th anniversary.
Most notably, Tuesday’s ceremony honored the work of The Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald – who’s reporting detailed NSA surveillance programs based on classified documents leaked by Edward
