Double X Gabfest has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 25, same time and place, due to weather concerns for the DC area.
Big fan of Date Lab? Yeah, we are too!
This Thursday (as in two days from today!) Christina Antoniades, editor of The Washington Post’s Date Lab will join Hanna Rosin, editor of Slate’s section for women, Double X; New York magazine’s Noreen Malone; and June Thomas editor of Slate’s LGBTQ section, Outward, to gab about culture, politics, and the way women love now. In addition, Antoniades will offer highlights and lowlights from her column and answer questions.
Double X Gabfest as the evening is called will take place at 7pm (doors open at 6pm) at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue on Thursday, Feb. 13.
Tickets are going for $20 each, but we have a pair up for grabs for those of you who can reference your favorite Date Lab memory. Submit yours to email@example.com and we’ll have Antoniades pick her fav early Thursday.
And in case you missed it, Megan McArdle will also be at Sixth & I tomorrow to discuss her new book The Up Side of Down: Why Failing Well Is the Key to Success. We have a pair of tickets to that too (we just have ticket giveaways to everything, don’t we?) for whoever can share the best “start as a failure, ends in success” story. And since these experiences are inherently personal, we won’t be posting any to the site. Send your story to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll have McArdle choose one lucky winner by morning.
