Leah Nylen of CQ‘s Legislative Action team is leaving to become managing editor of Main Justice, a blog that covers legal news and the Department of Justice. CQ Exec. Editor John Dineen announced the news in an email (after the jump) today.
Sources say Nylen is the seventh staffer to leave CQ in the last two months.
I am sorry to announce that Leah Nylen of our Legislative Action team is leaving us to become managing editor of Main Justice, a blog that covers legal news and the Department of Justice. Leah came to work at CQ in November 2007 after completing her Master’s work at Northwestern’s Medill School. In her time here, Leah has covered a range of issues, coming primarily out of the Judiciary and Energy and Commerce committees. She also was a regular contributor to CQPolitics. Leah also can boast of covering a virtual markup, complete with the avatar of Rep. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass. Leah has been a leader on the Legislative Action team, stepping up to fill coverage gaps no matter what the subject, helping reporters new to committee coverage and volunteering to work those notorious December weekends. Leah’s last day is Feb. 12. Please join me in wishing her the best in her new endeavor.
