To all newsroom staffers — It occurs to me that some of you may be wondering whatever happened to my effort to recruit a replacement for Dave and address some of the newsroom issues we discussed some weeks back. I can tell you that I am working on both of those matters quite seriously, but because things are taking a bit longer than I had anticipated or desired, I should like to meet with all of you on Monday morning at 10 to provide a bit of an update on things.
