Today, CQ Roll Call announced the launch of the new blog Five By Five to be run by Tim Starks. Part of its Policy Pulse blogs collection, Five by Five will cover the happenings of the Pentagon and Capitol Hill with a focus on defense as well as national security. Starks has covered national security at CQ for 11 years with a focus on homeland security, intelligence, and foreign policy. In 2009, he was the recipient of the National Press Club’s Sandy Hume Memorial Award for Excellence in Political Journalism for a CQ Weekly cover story on congressional secrecy.
