Congressman Laughs at Sheriff for Equating Marijuana to Heroin, Crack

“It was such an obvious answer — I just never thought I’d get that answer.”

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) was caught of guard on Tuesday when he asked a simple question, but got an answer he clearly wasn’t expecting.

During a House Judiciary hearing, the Congressman asked Milwaukee sheriff and regular on Fox News, David Clarke whether he believed that marijuana led to the same level of violent crime within the black community as meth, crack cocaine, and heroin.

“You said that illegal drug use is the scourge of the black community and it is a problem and leads to a great deal of violent crime.
