CNN continues to add to its haul this week, this time with the hire of David Axelrod as senior political commentator. Axelrod, a former senior advisor to President Obama and the senior campaign strategist/mastermind behind Obama’s presidential bids, comes to CNN from MSNBC, where he was a senior political analyst.
Axelrod’s first scheduled appearance will be tomorrow on The Lead with Jake Tapper.
CNN Washington Bureau Chief Sam Feist called Axelrod an “all-around respected, well-connected commentator on the American political scene” in a statement.
