Chuck Todd Gets Advice from Sen. John McCain on 'Meet the Press' Hosting Duties
During his final week as host of “The Daily Rundown” before taking over as “Meet the Press” moderator, Chuck Todd’s Rundown has featured surprise guests coordinated by producers including Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) this morning.
McCain, the most popular “MTP” guest in terms of his number of appearances, was on hand to offer advice to Todd in his new role.
Asked by Todd what he thinks the role of “Meet the Press” has been and should be in Washington and for America, McCain responded, “I think it has been not just the oldest, but the premier Sunday encounter that the American people can have with leading figures in the political world.
