Chris Matthews To Moderate Florida Debate...?
Chris Matthews has been raising eyebrows and generating some buzz with the news that he will be moderating the Florida gubernatorial debate.
Why, many ask, would local media bring in someone from D.C. to moderate a local debate when there is a plentiful crop of native media-types willing (and perhaps better able) to do so? Well, according to The Buzz, mostly because the local media has no authority in the matter. The debate — to be held October 30th — is going to be aired by a local NBC affiliate, and the parent company is eager to showcase its heavy hitters.
