Chris Matthews Plays The Straight Man On Late Night
Chris Matthews made a cameo in a comedy sketch on last night’s episode of Late Night with Conan O’Brien. And yes, it was actually Chris, as opposed to dead-on impersonator Darrell Hammond.
The sketch itself was a satire of the Iraq war debate, with audience members debating whether Conan should continue with a sketch that obviously wasn’t going well. Matthews played himself, reporting a poll that showed small minorities of viewers with opinions on the sketch, but the vast majority being “smart enough to turn off the television after Leno.”
