Just before diving into his speech, Andrés directs attention to the jumbotrons for a star-studded video that explains how he was offered his invitation by GW President Steven Knapp.

Up pops Craig Ferguson. “Oh, President Knapp! Good to hear from you,” he says from the set of the “Late Late Show.” Unfortunately, he’s “watching TV that night” and suggests Andrés, who “has an accent that’s even harder to understand than mine.”

Throughout the video, Eric HolderAl RokerGwyneth PaltrowMorgan FreemanJesse Tyler FergusonSam WaterstonMatt Dillon and Owen Wilson all make appearances, each one turning down the offer and suggesting Mr. Andrés as the next-best choice.

The two-minute piece ended with Ferguson providing Andrés’s email address: “That’s b-o-i,” he says.

Check out the video, after the jump.
