After spending 226 days behind bars — the record for a U.S. journalist withholding information — Josh Wolf is a free man. And the 24-year-old Californian is in Washington now to make sure others like him don’t share his fate.

Wolf was the first blogger to claim protection under the First Amendment who was sent to jail for not cooperating in a federal investigation. He’s taking on Congress this week, lobbying on behalf of a federal shield law for journalists.
