Andy Shallal Gets a Radio Gig

Pacifica owned radio station WPFW announced this week that former mayoral candidate Andy Shallal will host a new show focused on entrepreneurship and social justice called “Business Matters.” Beginning this week, the station is introducing a whole crop of new shows to coincide with it’s return to 50,000 watt power. For most of the last three years, the “Jazz and Justice” station (they air jazz and world music as well as progressive talk) has been broadcasting at as little as 16,000-watts, barely audible in Alexandria or far Southeast DC.
