JWT New York has won U.S. creative duties on Stouffer’s Lean Cuisine after a review, sources said.

The WPP Group agency bested three other contenders to land the business. Sources identified the others as Havas’ Arnold, Publicis Groupe’s Publicis and Interpublic Group’s Draftfcb. Each is a Nestlé roster shop.

Domestic major media spending on the brand exceeded $40 million last year, up from $30 million in 2009, according to Nielsen. Those figures don’t include online spending.

JWT, which succeeds Havas’ Euro RSCG on the business, declined to comment and referred calls to Stouffer’s parent company Nestlé, which could not immediately be reached.
