Feel like you’ve hit a speed bump? Not satisfyed with where you’re at personally or professionally? You’re not alone.
But failure, no matter how devastating, doesn’t have to be the end. In fact, economics, business, and public policy writer Megan McArdle says failure can be just the teacher you need to push you forward to greater success. That’s the message of her new book, The Up Side of Down: Why Failing Well Is the Key to Success, and this Wednesday she’ll be at Sixth & I in a partnership with the venue and Politics & Prose to talk about it.
FBDC has the hook up to said event, and you can too, dear readers. In keeping with the theme of the evening, whoever can share the best “start as a failure, ends in success” story will win two tickets to her talk.
And since these experiences are inherently personal, don’t worry, we won’t be posting any names to the site. But do send your story to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll have McArdle choose one lucky winner. Good luck!
