After a difficult 2013, Zynga has announced a new “mobile-first” initiative for some of its top franchises: FarmVille, Poker and Words with Friends. This move will see three new experiences come to mobile gamers, which have been designed using the feedback players have shared with Zynga over the past six years.
The first is FarmVille 2: Country Escape, which will offer both online and offline play. The game looks to “redefine” the FarmVille social experience by offering “Social Control options that give you more choice on how you connect with friends and family.”
Next is Zynga Poker, which has been played by more than 350 million players since its launch. The New Zynga Poker experience will offer faster and better performance on mobile, a new “sophisticated” design and more personalized gameplay for players.
Finally, Words with Friends will be updated with features players have been asking for, including a dictionary.
“I hope these games will show you that Zynga is more committed than ever to testing, listening and evolving our games – brand new and enduring – as a result of your feedback,” Zynga COO Clive Downie said in a message to Zynga’s players. “You are the lifeblood of our games, and these three franchises will grow and sustain because of your willingness to share with us what you want out of your entertainment experience.”
These three new experiences will launch “soon” in coming markets, and will be available worldwide over the coming months.
