Zen Studios has announced the launch of new South Park-themed tables in its Zen Pinball mobile app, as well as the launch of a standalone South Park-themed pinball game on mobile devices. The standalone app contains two tables, South Park: Super-Sweet Pinball and South Park: Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game. Both offer plenty of fan service to players, as they contain popular moments from the show as interactive elements on the tables.
In South Park: Super-Sweet Pinball, players follow Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman and other South Park characters through highlights of the television show, like Cartman’s probing incident, Sarcastaball and Christmas in Canada.
Meanwhile, in South Park: Butters’ Very Own Pinball Game, players follow lovable Butters Stotch through a different set of adventures, reliving key moments from his history in the television series. This includes taking on the Coon and friends as Butters’ alter ego Professor Chaos, stealing the fortune telling device from the girls’ sleepover party, and saving Imaginationland. Both tables contain missions to complete relating to these key television moments, and are packed with sound bites and music clips from the show. In the standalone game, players can choose from both tables on the fly, and have three balls in each game to earn as many points as possible. If playing these tables as DLC in the Zen Pinball app, users must first purchase each table separately.
For social play, users can login with Facebook to share their high scores with friends. Users can also participate in the game’s 2-4 player Hotseat mode, competing with friends for the highest score using the same device.
For those looking to get the most out of the experience, the game offers table guides that identify the missions and key areas on each machine. Achievements are also available to earn for completing key actions, and players can view their statistics on each machine in terms of total time played, games played, number of balls launched and so on.
The standalone South Park Pinball app is available to download for $3.99 on the iTunes App Store, Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. The tables are also available as DLC inside Zen Pinball for $1.99 each. Players can purchase and use token packs to keep their game going, even after running out of balls.
