YouTube Space Partners With WhoHaha to Empower Female Comics

The Global Women in Comedy Program will last 12 weeks

YouTube Space partnered with digital platform WhoHaha and actress Elizabeth Banks to launch the Global Women in Comedy Program, a production program aimed at helping female comics on the YouTube platform.

YouTube Spaces in Los Angeles; New York; Toronto; Rio de Janeiro; Paris; Berlin; London; Tokyo; and Mumbai, India, will participate in the 12-week program, offering 100 female creators access to production sets, crew members, mentorship and more than 50 workshops and events.

During the program, WhoHaha and Banks will offer “creative consultation and mentorship” to the participants.

As part of this program, in 2018, WhoHaha will invite “select creators across YouTube Space locations” to produce a digital pilot for their YouTube series, with these creators receiving production and mentorship resources to help them grow.
