YouTube Kicks Off Paid Channel Program with Full Episodes of 'Fraggle Rock'

After months of rumors, YouTube has rolled out 53 paid channels on the video-sharing site. One highlight is the Jim Henson Family TV channel, which includes full episodes of “Fraggle Rock.”
Announced today, the pilot program will launch with a small group of partners on YouTube. Subscription fees will begin at $0.99 per month after a 14-day free trial, the company said. Some channels also offer annual subscriptions at a discount.
So far, the full lineup includes kid-friendly channels like National Geographic Kids and niche offerings like workout videos from iAmplify and matches from the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
