YouTube is already on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ but today they’re announcing that they are taking their social media influence (or should we say pinfluence?) to the next level. That’s right—YouTube has joined Pinterest and they’ve already put together a whole slew of boards for you to follow.
Danielle Paquette, social media manager at YouTube, announced this afternoon on the YouTube blog that, “Since Pinterest introduced video pins, we’ve been ever so eager to join the party. We’ve brought together a Pinterest dream team at YouTube to share videos we hope you’ll find particularly useful, informative and inspiring—with a goal that every video we share will ‘wow’ you.”
YouTube has created 10 boards so far, ranging from a Pinspiration board filled with inspiring and motivating videos to a Make It Yourself craft board, a lifehacking tips board called Life 101, The Beauty Corner for beauty tips, a cooking board called NomNomNom, an fitness board called Work It Out and more.
I like that YouTube has stuck to Pinterest-friendly topics like fashion, life, food and style, but I hope they’ll launch some ROFL comedy or trending video boards. Head over to pinterest.com/YouTube to follow the boards that strike your fancy and let us know what you think.
