YouTube Bringing 360-Degree Live-Streaming to Republican, Democratic National Conventions

YouTube, the official live-stream provider for the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention, will do so in 360 degrees for the first time ever.

Brandon Feldman, who works on news partnerships for YouTube, highlighted upcoming coverage from The Young Turks, Complex News, Seeker Daily, Ingrid Nilsen, Mark Watson and Julie Borowski, adding in a blog post:

These creators, along with other news organizations, will report back to their communities using new tools including mobile live streaming and Jump VR cameras, so you will have nonstop coverage from a variety of perspectives.

Tune into the RNC next week at youtube.com/gopconvention and the DNC beginning July 25 at youtube.com/demconvention.

The 2016 RNC will be held at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland July 18 through 21, while the 2016 DNC will take place July 25 through 28 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
