Yext, a digital presence management platform, announced Monday the hire of Jeffrey K. Rohrs, formerly of Salesforce, as the company’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Rohrs was most recently the vice president of marketing insights at Salesforce, having joined the company as part of its $2.5 billion acquisition of ExactTarget in 2013. With ExactTarget, Rohrs helped the company move from a specialized email marketing solution into a publicly-traded marketing cloud platform. He also created ExactTarget’s Subscribers, Fans and Followers research series.

Yext co-founder and CEO Howard Lerman welcomed Rohrs to the company:

Jeff’s energy, experience, and digital marketing expertise are an exciting addition to our team. His passion for connecting businesses and consumers in mutually beneficial ways will not only help propel our growth worldwide but also help shape our future.

At Yext, Rohrs will lead the company’s global brand strategy, field marketing expansion and demand generation initiatives.

Rohrs discussed in a press release what he can bring to Yext:

I simply could not be more excited to join the Yext team. The company’s focus on optimizing the moments that matter between brick and mortar stores and mobile consumers has already yielded a product suite that delivers unparalleled ROI. Walking the halls at Yext, the spirit of innovation is palpable. It is an honor to join this team, and I can’t wait to help build global awareness for a company so committed to customer success.
