WTC Movie Donates $2.6 Million To 9/11 Charities

We’ve spent some time covering Paramount’s lavish press junkets — and the scandalous banning of a freelance reviewer for writing about them — leading up to the opening of Oliver Stone‘s World Trade Center, so we probably should point out that the studio is making good on its charitable pledge, donating $2.6 million — 10% percent of the box office receipts for the film’s opening five days — to 9/11 charities, $1.3 million of which is being given to the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation.
