WSJ to Launch Paid News App

What's News is coming to your phone.

The Wall Street Journal is about to take a stab at mobile readers with the launch of What’s News. Capital New York reports that the app will be offered as an additional product to Journal subscribers.

What’s News will be much like its print namesake: A collection of succinctly written news stories.

The Journal plans to launch the app around the time Apple releases its new operating system this fall.

While we can see Journal readers being interested in What’s News, we’re curious if the app will be available to non-subscribers.
