Wordplay Playing

Despite the rain, several media folks made it out to a special movie screening of “Wordplay” put on by CQ (above, CQ Publisher Keith White with Wordplay director Patrick Creadon). The movie — being hailed as this summer’s big documentary — explores America’s love of the crossword and includes cameos from Bill Clinton, Jon Stewart (“Could I go a day without doing the crossword? I mean, it’s not insulin or anything, but…”), Will Shortz, Ken Burns, Mike Mussina, Bob Dole and the Indigo Girls.

Attendees included CQ President Bob Merry, Qorvis’ David Bass, Capitol File’s Anne Schroeder, NPR’s Neal Conan, NPR’s Liane Hansen and Hotline’s Danielle Decker-Jones.
