WNYW Wins in May Sweeps Race at 10 p.m., WPIX Makes Slight In-Roads
We reported yesterday that WABC/Channel 7 had another strong sweeps period.
But Fox 5/WNYW also came up big in May.
Channel 5 posted impressive wins at 10 p.m. with Ernie Anastos and Dari Alexander. In the Households (HH) rating, WNYW notched a 3.4 to WPIX’s 1.6. As for the key demographic Adults 25 to 54, WNYW scored a 1.6, while WPIX/Channel 11 with Jodi Applegate had a 1.0, according to Nielsen.
If WPIX is looking for a silver lining, perhaps this is it.
From the February to May Sweeps, WPIX made miniscule gains, but they were gains. For
