The gap closed slightly between WLTW and WCBS-FM, but Lite-FM is still the one to beat.
The Arbitron PPM ratings for October show Clear Channel’s WLTW at a 6.5, down from last month’s 6.9. WCBS-FM did make minimal gains to 5.5, with little to show for it as they hold at number two.
Z100/WHTZ keeps its stranglehold on number three, despite slipping back to 4.7 (5.1 in September).
Perhaps, Yankees playoff baseball was the key for WCBS-AM pulling up stakes at number four. The all-news station did slip back to 4.4 (4.7 in September).
Clear Channel had its third entry in the Top 5, with Dance favorite WKTU, retreating to 4.3 (4.6 in September).
Talk giant WABC kept pace, staying sixth and a 4.1 rating.
One of the few stations at the top portion of the survey to register any gains was WSKQ-FM/Mega 97.9. The Tropical format picked up .5 to 3.9 for the month.
WINS also saw a .3 jump to 3.9.
Classic Rocker WAXQ/Q 104.3 fell off .5 to 3.8.
