Wired Adds Jessi Hempel, Promotes Mat Honan
Wired has hired Jessi Hempel and promoted Mat Honan to senior staff writer.
Hempel — who will be a senior staff writer covering the business side of technology at Wired — comes to Wired from Fortune, where she has worked for the past seven years. Prior to that she worked at Businessweek.
“Wired is for people who care deeply about the future as it applies to their every day lives,” Hempel wrote about her new job. “Its opportunity and its obligation is to continue to stay ahead of its readers, and to bring them a deep understanding about where the world is moving and how technology gives it direction.”
Honan has been with Wired since 2012.
