Widmeyer Communications Wins $3.5M U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Contract

Widmeyer Communications won a $3.5 million, one year contract with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to develop “a major national campaign to better educate parents, caregivers, consumers and industry on swimming pool and spa safety,” the agency said today.

Widmeyer partnered with OmniStudio, a DC-based strategy and design firm on the pitch. “We had some very excellent presentations, but Widmeyer’s was outstanding,” CPSC Public Affairs Specialist Kathleen Reilly told PRNewser.

Ogilvy PR confirmed to PRNewser they pitched the business, and with a government account of this size, it is safe to assume many of the other large agencies with a D.C.
