Ever wish you could get more from your favorite celebrities than the occasional tweet or pic in a gossip mag?
The new iOS app WhoSay is here to fill that celeb-crazed void thanks to customized, interactive content provided by the celebrities themselves, including the likes of Channing Tatum, Sofia Vergara, and Eva Longoria.
The app launched today, and is funded by investors ranging from Amazon and Comcast Ventures to Tencent, Greylock, and High Peaks Ventures. The company was co-founded by Steve Ellis and the Creative Artists Agency, with the goal of making it easier for the brand’s stars to speak to their fan base.
Alongside photos and videos posted by celebrities, fans will also find features and posts provided by the in-house WhoSay editorial team to provide even further backstage access to the lives behind some of the biggest names across movies, sports, music, and television.
Fans can even pre-select celebrities they wish to follow thanks to categories like “Oscar Winners” or “Comedians” in order to get a more focused look into their lives away from the stage, field, or silver screen.
More than 1,500 celebrities have already signed up to deliver content to WhoSay, with their combined social media reach totaling more than 1 billion connections.
