Who’s on the Short List for the WSJ. EIC Spot?

wsj07162010.pngFollowing Tina Gaudoin’s departure from the top editorial spot at The Wall Street Journal‘s WSJ. lifestyle supplement, Women’s Wear Daily reports that Journal managing editor Robert Thomson is whittling down a list of possible replacements.

Citing sources, WWD says Marie Claire editor in chief Jenna Coles, ex-Men’s Vogue editor Horacio Silva, former W deputy editor Julie Belcove and ex-Domino editor Deborah Needleman are all in the running. A Journal spokesperson told WWD that “there is very hot competition,” for the gig.

Gaudoin recently joined the Euro version of the Journal as a contributing editor to help it expand its “Life & Style” section.
