Billionaire candidate for governor of California, Meg Whitman had a maid for nine years the candidate described as “family.” In the final stretch of the campaign where Whitman wanted to see employers fined for hiring illegal immigrants, her former housekeeper Nicky Diaz, hired media circus icon and lawyer Gloria Allred. First Whitman claimed she didn’t know Diaz was illegal and accused her of stealing her mail – a federal offense.
