Fans of the Star Wars film franchise will be disappointed in the Obama Administration’s rejection of a petition that urged the U.S. government to construct a Death Star-like structure in space.

The petition, which garnered more than 34,000 signatures via the We the People web site, which is described on the platform as, “a new way to petition the Obama Administration to take action on a range of important issues facing our country.”
