White House Defends Obama's Use of the 'N-Word'

Because that's what all the headlines were about.

Here’s one we missed from yesterday.

While President Obama did briefly discuss his team’s comms strategy with Marc Maron on Monday’s podcast, every subsequent headline seemed to focus on his single use of the “N-word” in the interview.

Here, via TIME, is Press Secretary Josh Earnest’s attempt to address that fact:

We’re not surprised that Obama officially doesn’t regret using the word; it’s not like he did it accidentally.

But surely the White House saw this coming…and Earnest spun it fairly well.
