Where an Election Party Serves as Today’s Silver Lining

vote10.30.08.jpgWell today has sucked. So what’s the good news? Well… um… this endless election is almost over. And that means we get to party.

Voter registration group Headcount, which has signed up over 100,000 new voters at almost 1,000 concerts during this election cycle, is holing one final show this Monday at the Highline Ballroom.

Bold-faced names include Joss Stone — who we’re told will debut her new political anthem, “Governmentalist,” (wait, isn’t she British? — Robert Randolph, Questlove and many special guests. There will also be hope… and drinks, which is what we all really need.

Details after the jump.
