Bill McCarren
, a 20-year Club member with more than two decades of management experience in the media world, assumes the Club’s top management position July 9. General manager John Bloom, who is resigning after 15 years of service including 10 as general manager, will stay on board until July 20. “Bill knows the importance of the Club for making news, professional development and spotlighting media issues including protecting free speech,” said Maureen Groppe, chairwoman of the National Press Club Board of Governors.
