Wednesday is here again, which means it’s time for our Weekly Dose Of WTF.  This week we’ve got loads of wacky, ridiculous and bizarre videos for you, including planking, sloths, an In-N-Out Burger with a ridiculous line, a pageant mom that gives her 8-year old daughter Botox and more.  So sit back, relax and prepare to be WTF-ified!

Planking Craze

A weird Facebook fad called “planking—in which people take pictures of themselves stretched out like a board in strange locations—got a lot of coverage this week after one student died while planking on the edge of a balcony.  Here’s a video about the trend…who the heck comes up with this stuff?

Three-toed sloth crossing the road in Costa Rica

I’ve only seen pictures of sloths hanging out in trees and being lazy, so I was totally surprised by how weird looking this sloth crossing the street was.  This video has had a burst in viewership this week after being posted on sites like Reddit and The Daily What.

Pageant Mom Gives Botox to 8-Year Old, Defends Actions

If nothing else makes you say “WTF” this week, this will.  Here’s a pageant mom that gives her 8-year old daughter Botox injections to get rid of her wrinkles!  And that’s not all…she also waxed her daughters legs.  The pageant life is tough, but this is just ridiculous!

Judge Judy – Dumb and Dumber

I love Judge Judy and this moment is priceless.  A purse thief accidentally admits to stealing a purse when he corrects the victim as she lists off the contents of her bag.  Oops!  Maybe not as WTF as some of these other videos…but for this one I’m changing the definition of WTF to “Woah, That’s Funny!”

In-N-Out Burger – Opening Day, High Noon!

How long would you wait in line for an In-N-Out Burger?

Bonus: WTF 44

We’re giving you something a little different this week—a non-video WTF story.  This was brought to my attention by fellow Social Times writer CJ Arlotta.  Earlier this week a mystery surrounding a set of strange Texas license plates on Capitol Hill was getting a lot of coverage on the Web.  The tags, reading ‘WTF 44’ were thought to have been a big F-You to President Obama, the 44th president of the United States.  After some research, it turns out the plates belong to one Scott Graves of Bronte, Texas—the legislative director for Texas Republican Rep. K. Michael Conaway.  Read the full story on Mother Jones.
