Weber Shandwick partnered with the Gill Foundation, a LGBT advocacy non-profit to author “Business of Change: A resource guide for corporate-non-profit collaboration,” released today on their site. The report was compiled by Weber’s Social Innovation division, a CSR practice launched in June of last year.
The 104-page guide focuses on, but is not limited to finding ways to foster collaboration to promote equality for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. It covers the entire landscape of partnerships between advocacy groups and corporations, cites various rankings and the results of their own Business of Change survey, lots of case studies, 110 questions you should ask before partnering, along with a glossary of terms with “why this is important” sidebars.
It’s not particularly tough sledding, and great reading for those interested in LGBT issues, advocacy partnerships, and CSR.
