The site will pull together content provided by Weber; from the online news outlet Business Media Makoto; market research from Macromill INC; marcomms info from McCann Worldgroup Japan, another IPG firm; coverage from the Tohoku region by photographers including members of nonprofit MAKE THE HEAVEN; and info from the digital marketing firm Le Grand Co. Contributors will be added as the site progresses. The site has been endorsed by a number of organizations including the American and British Chambers of Commerce.
A statement we received from Weber’s Asia-Pacific team says, “The reality is, Japan is very much still open for business and eager to return to the way things were before the tragedy. Our aim is to help get that message out and to contribute to reducing the economic flow-on effect of the natural and nuclear crises that Japan has already endured.”
