Web Surfing With Patagonia

Decidedly uncrunchy outdoor adventure brand Patagonia may have lost sight of its VW van-dwelling roots–in college, we fondly called it Patagucci. But they do continue to deliver on the design front–the exceptional photography in their catalogs, innovative environmentally-approved materials and their various collaborations with artists. Their latest is Bend to Baja, an interactive surfing epic that follows the Brothers Malloy–the world-famous trio of Chris, Keith and Dan–from frigid Oregon breakers to mellow Mexico tubes through a series of short films and precious illustrations from Geoff McFetridge.

Adding to their already ridiculously awesome list of careers (pro surfers, filmmakers), the Malloys have recently been named Patagonia’s Ocean Ambassadors, working with the design team on new products and the vision for a new surf-only shop (Patagonia’s first) in Cardiff, California.

Thanks
